Can you spot the deer in this photo?
This was so cool! We were just messing around trying to get the mountain blue jays to eat French fries. I asked my Dad if he thought an injured rabbit call would scare the birds and started making the call which is usually used to call large game that prey on rabbit. Two seconds later a deer jumps out from the brush and crosses the parking lot. Then another, then another. They were not timid at all, and walked right by us like we weren't even there. We watched them climb up the steep slope of the mountain and disappear into woods.
